Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Nearbee mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1 Eligibility
1.1 Age Requirement
You must be 16 years of age or older to use Nearbee.
1.2 Geographic Scope
The App is currently available in Sweden and the European Union, with more regions being added over time.
1.3 Acceptance
By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and will comply with all applicable laws.
2 Nearbee is a Platform Only
Nearbee is a neutral digital platform — a noticeboard that connects users with local businesses. Nearbee is not a party to any transaction, agreement, or interaction between a user and a business.
Nearbee does not sell, supply, or guarantee any product, service, or offer listed in the app. All offers are created, owned, and managed solely by the businesses that post them.

We do not charge any fees for downloading, accessing, or using the app.
3 User Accounts
Accounts are created automatically using Firebase Anonymous Authentication. No email or password is required. We may suspend your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the offer system, engage in fraud, or are under 16.
4 Offer Usage Rules
4.1 One Use Per Offer
Each offer can be used once per person. We track usage via your anonymous device ID.
4.2 Business Has Final Say
Businesses have the final say on accepting or rejecting an offer. Nearbee is not a party to this and bears no responsibility for the outcome.
4.3 Accuracy of Offer Information
Nearbee displays information provided by businesses and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or currency. Offers may change or end without notice. Always verify terms with the business before visiting.
4.4 Prohibited Activities
- Sharing or duplicating QR codes
- Using offers on behalf of others
- Selling or trading offers
- Using automated tools to collect offers
- Creating multiple accounts to reuse offers
- Harassing or threatening businesses
Violation may result in permanent ban.
5 Location Services
Most features require GPS to show nearby offers. Location is collected only when the app is open. GPS accuracy varies by device — Nearbee bears no responsibility for any errors arising from location inaccuracy.
6 Relationship with Businesses
Nearbee is an independent platform and is not affiliated, partnered, or in any agency relationship with any business listed in the app. Businesses are not employees, agents, or representatives of Nearbee.
Each business is solely and fully responsible for the accuracy, legality, and fulfilment of their own offers.
If a business refuses to honour their offer, please let us know at hello@nearbee.app. We take this seriously — we'll contact the business and reassess whether their offers should remain in the app.
7 Intellectual Property
Nearbee owns the app design, code, branding, logos, trademarks, and database structure. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or scrape any part of the app for commercial use.
8 Disclaimers
Nearbee is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy of business-provided content, or that any offer will be honoured. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any product or service offered by a listed business.
Nearbee relies on third-party infrastructure including Google Firebase and Google Maps. Outages or failures by these providers are outside our control and we accept no liability for them.
9 No Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nearbee accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, cost, or expense of any kind arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:
- A business not honouring an offer
- Inaccurate, outdated, or misleading offer information provided by a business
- Poor quality or unsafe products or services from a business
- GPS or navigation errors
- App downtime, bugs, or data loss
- Actions or omissions of any third party
Nearbee is a free platform. You use it entirely at your own risk.
Your statutory rights under Swedish and EU consumer protection law remain unaffected.
10 Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Nearbee harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, your misuse of any offer, or any dispute you have with a business listed in the app.
11 App Store Platforms
Nearbee is distributed via Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not parties to these Terms, are not responsible for the app, and provide no warranty in relation to it. Any claims relating to the app must be directed to Nearbee, not to Apple or Google.
12 Force Majeure
Nearbee is not liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including server outages, third-party service failures, internet disruptions, natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.
13 Privacy
Your use of Nearbee is governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect GPS location, age, and optional email. We use Firebase for infrastructure, never sell your data, and fully respect your GDPR rights.
14 Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Major changes will be announced via push notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance.
15 Termination
By you: Uninstall the app anytime or request data deletion at hello@nearbee.app.
By us: We may terminate your access for violations, abuse, fraud, or as required by law.
16 Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Uppsala, Sweden. Before taking legal action, contact us at hello@nearbee.app — we will try to resolve within 30 days.
